Air Canada Aeroplan: 2500 miles for each new member, up to 20000 free miles with a family account

Air Canada’s new Aeroplan is starting with a great promotion to receive some free miles.

2500 free miles for each new member

Each new registering member will receive 2500 miles for free after the first transaction.

A transaction does not necessary mean that you have to fly to earn miles. The transaction has to be made by September 30, 2020, and miles will be credited 6-8 weeks thereafter.

There are plenty of other ways to earn some miles like transferring points from hotel chains, American Express any many other others. Furthermore, you could buy anything through the Aeroplan estore or use every other possibility with Aeroplan partners, like a hotel stay or a car rental to acquire some miles at Air Canada Aeroplan.

Up to 20000 miles with family pooling

As of autumn this year, Aeroplan will allow family pooling of your miles for up to 8 members. Note that the following conditions have to be met:

• There has to be some degree of family between the different users, but it does not matter if you are partners, cousins…
• Every member needs to stay in the family account for at least 3 months
• Every family member leaving a family pool needs to wait for 6 months to reenter another family pool

This means if you convince in any way some members of your family not participating in the points game to register and enter your family pool, you suddenly have full access to 20000 miles.
