Flight review: Luxair Business Class Luxembourg to Berlin Q400

Review Luxair Business class Q400, Luxembourg to Berlin and vice versa in autumn 2022.

At the airport

When flying in Business class with Luxair, you can use a dedicated check-in counter, fast lane for the security check at all airports, and you get lounge access.

Due to congestions at Luxembourg airport, a dedicated check-in counter might save you easily an hour of waiting time, especially if you have luggage to check in.

However, in Berlin, a dedicated business class check-in Counter was not available!

Boarding

As always, boarding at Luxembourg airport is totally chaotic, with nobody sticking to groups and nobody from the staff controlling that. Also, boarding tends to always be delayed, and you never get information about how long, even if it is more than 40 minutes.

You always get an SMS telling you that your flight is ready to board, even if it’s not, these automated SMS make no sense at all if no one updates them.

Seats

Seats onboard Luxair Business Class Q400 are okay in the first row. Due to the fact that the seat adjacent to you is left free, you cannot complain as it is the same with all European carries

Food & Drinks

Luxair dramatically improved over the last year. The drinks menu on this short flight was very good, and the food might have been the best we received on an European carrier on short haul flights ever.

Kudos to Luxair, everything tasted delicious and was well arranged. Here, Luxair might be on top of the list.

Service

Service was also excellent. The staff constantly asked us if we would need more drinks or anything else, they could not have been more attentive.

Other Amenities

Unfortunately there is nothing to say as there is simply nothing available.

No WiFi, no inflight entertainment, no amenity kit, nothing. The only thing you get is a disinfectant towel.

Bottom Line

Luxair drastically improved their Service and menus in Business class on board over the last years. If you have no status, and you find a reasonable fare, we can recommend flying business class, due to the excellent onboard service and the sheer amount of time you save at the airport (compared to economy class with luggage).
However, in general, Luxair urgently need to work on their information provided to passengers regarding boarding time as well as boarding itself at Luxembourg airport.
