Hotel Statuses Offering Free Breakfast as a Benefit

We will give you an overview the hotel statuses which will come with free breakfast as a benefit.

Free breakfast as a benefit

Hotel statuses come with some great benefits. While upgrades are one of the most commons, many people value a free breakfast as a great benefit. We will provide you with an overview of your limited options.

Hilton Honors

With Hilton Honors, the mid tier status Gold (20 stays or 40 nights) already entitles you receive free breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant.

World of Hyatt

Hyatt’s end tier, Globalist elite status members (60 nights) are the only ones who will benefit from free breakfast.

Marriott Bonvoy

At Marriott, free breakfast comes as a perk from Marriot Bonvoy elite status Platinum onward (50 nights). However, as it is declared as a welcome gift perk, some hotels also offer points or a different amenity instead.

Radisson Rewards

At Radisson Rewards, Platinum members (60 nights or 30 stays) will benefit from free breakfast at participating hotel restaurants, whatever that means.

Shangri La Golden Circle

Shangri La Jade members (25 stays or 50 nights) will get daily buffet breakfast served at Café Restaurant or designated restaurant.

Breakfast with lounge access

Some of the hotels above offer lounge access as a top tier benefit. This will not entitle you to get free breakfast per se, but lounges usually offer free breakfast as well. You have to note that in most cases free breakfast in a lounge cannot be compared to full breakfast in the hotels’ restaurant. Furthermore, lounge availability at properties around the world is rather limited.

Unfortunately, not many hotel chains offer free breakfast as a benefit right away. From the ones which does, the easiest way to gain yourself the option of a free breakfast is probably Hilton Honors, where you “only” need 20 stays or 40 nights for their gold status.
