Qualifying Criteria after match: fly once internationally with Turkish Airlines on any class and your status will be granted for 12 months. Within that period, when you earn 15’000 miles exclusively on Turkish Airlines, your status will be extended to a 2 year period.

You have to contact Turkish Airlines via their contact form and provide a copy of your id, of your status card and a copy of your recent flights. Flying Blue’s one is a bit of a joke.
Applied earlier this week for BA Silver to FB Gold, (UK resident)
result was ‘Declined – BA status match cannot be used for another status match.’
(have never done status match, ever.)
Emailed to ask for explain and they still have not reply (while another issue was replied within an hour.)
the BA status was gain by flying, (although there was a double tier point promo.)
at least they refunded quickly.
