Review Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota Lakewood Ranch of a 1 King bed 1 bedroom suite in autumn 2018.

Location

The Hotel is located outside of Sarasota Center at a district where you find many restaurants, bars and shops basically adjacent to the hotel which is nice if you want to go out a little bit in the evening.

Rooms

Our suite was super spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, a small dining table, a big living area as well as a very nice bathroom. The suite felt modern, was clean and plenty of seating options are available in the room as well as all the usual amenities.  The size and the look of the suite made us feel very comfortable here.

Food & Drinks

Breakfast is complimentary for all guests and can be compared to a Hampton breakfast, so you do not have a huge variety of choices but the things which are available are really nice.

Furthermore, which was very nice, was that they offer complimentary canapes and drinks, even alcoholic ones, during the week for around 2 hours. You could even use this service as dinner otherwise as pre dinner drinks before you go out, but anyway it was a really nice and surprising perk offered by this hotel. A real bar however is not available when the canapes time is over. However the reception also serves as a mini shop where you can get a couple of drinks, snacks and dinner boxes.

Other Amenities

A nice little swimming pool is available and a well equipped fitness centre. Furthermore, washing machines and a small business center can be found in the hotel. Even a tennis court and basketball court can be found here, so everything you need is there.

PASS or FAIL

PASS

This hotel is definitely a pass. If you do not need a hotel in the center of Sarasota, you will do nothing wrong by booking this hotel as you will receive modern, spacious and clean rooms, a good service, plenty of stuff to do outside of the hotel as well as complimentary pre dinner drinks and complimentary breakfast.
