Deal Alerts and Cheap Premium Economy flights to the USA

As you may have noticed, we haven’t sent out many deal alerts over the last months.

We initially stopped sending out deal alerts with the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, as many countries were closed anyway.

At the end of the last year, we thought that it would be a good time again to restart with deal alerts, but then the Omicron variant was discovered.  But as it looks now, this variant is less severe and many people over the world are vaccinated.

We were thinking that it’s time again to send you deals alerts, via email and our app(s). What do you think, do you want Deal Alerts again?

Cheap Premium Economy flights from Europe to the USA

Oneworld has launched a huge sale with cheap Premium Economy flights from many European cities, those can be upgraded to Business class.

To know how many avios are needed for the upgrade, you have to subtract the number of avios from the cabin you’re in from the cabin you’re going to.

Here’s am example with departure from London:

Off-peak London to New York is 50,000 avios in business class, and in premium economy 26,000 avios. So an upgrade from premium economy to business is 24,000 avios one-way, (50,000-26,000) plus taxes (around £100), that’s 48,000 avios for the return flight in business class.
