Lounge Review: Cathay Lounge London Heathrow Terminal 3

Location

Cathay Pacific lounge is located in Terminal 3 of London Heathrow Airport. In the Terminal, follow the signs “airline lounges” to Concourse C.

Food & Drinks

A great noodle bar where you can order freshly prepared noodles, dim sums and soups are available, as well as a buffet with European dishes (scrambled eggs, soup, meat balls, salad, pastries…).

Some soft drinks, wine and draft beer are also available from two self-service bars. At their cocktail bar, you can order all kind of different long drinks or spirits.

In terms of quality, this is the best food I encountered so far in a business class lounge.

Other services

Power sockets were available at most places, as well as complimentary WiFi. The showers are really pleasant in terms of decor and very spacious.

They also have a decent business center with computers and printers on offer.

National and international magazines were available as well.

Conclusion

This lounge is one of the best business class lounges on the market. Perfect to relax, even for a longer time, before your flight. Wonderful fresh food, delicious desserts and a big choice of drinks. More than enough seating possibilities are available to accommodate people even if it gets crowded.

The only thing which I didn’t like were those wonderful chairs with a great view on the tarmac, in the afternoon, as soon as the sun came out you were literally burning in those chairs and all the other seats near the window. At around 5 PM when no one was sitting there anymore because of the heat, they were moving down the sun blinds with a remote control, until then I thought they had no sun blinds at all. It would be a good idea to do that much earlier or build in an automatic clock.

But for the rest, everything is just perfect here.
